Monterey Bay Invitational (CCS) - Fri/Sat Results - Huge affair at CCS Championship course for this November, so most showed up!! - Meet management deserves medal for running Friday and Saturday sessions with this a big college testing weekend! - Jeremy Mineau (Menlo Atherton) fastest in Friday's Varsity Boys race at 15:43, with Salinas winning Team Title at 75 points (83:42 team time) - Saturday Boys Varsity had Kevin Chaves (St. Francis, Mountain View) win at 16:17, with North Monterey County team winners Saturday with 59 points (82:25 fastest of meet) - Saturday Boys Sweeps had Alex Dunn (San Lorenzo Valley) 15:24 (fastest of meet), with Serra (San Mateo) team winners at 76 (83:37 team time) - Girls - Ruth Graham (Gunn, Palo Alto) led her team to a win Friday with an 18:17 clocking and the team totalling 52 points (96:59 team time fastest of meet) - Saturday in the Varsity race it was McKayla Plank (Mitty, San Jose) 18:24 over Ciara Viehweg (St. Ignatius) 18:25 with St. Ignatius the team winners with 45 points (100:55 team time) - Saturday Girls Sweeps had Melissa Grelli (Presentation, SJ) 18:15 quickest of weekend with San Lorenzo Valley 35 points (98:02 team time) - - Boys Results - Girls Results - Team Results - All Runners Fri/Sat Combined One imaginary race from results - Combined Top Team Times Friday/Saturday

Southern California Invitational - Guajome Regional Park - Oceanside (SD) - Results - Interesting Meet where #1 runners go against the #1 runners of other schools, #2 against #2 and so on. Barstow Boys roll into the beach area meet and leave with top team time of 1:57:49 with Torrey Pines 1:58.38 (top seven score so everyone better finish for you!) - Troy Swier (Mar Vista, Chula Vista) huge 40 second win at 15:34 to top the action - Girls (2.5 miles) San Pasqual edges Wilson (Long Beach) 1:47:28 - 1:47:57 with Claire Rethmeier of SP a 13:57-14:08 win over Dani Schuster (Torrey Pines) for day's quickest - Varsities - Novice and JV

Mariner - New Balance Invitational - Garin Park (Hayward) (NCS) - Friday's big dinner followed up with some good racing Saturday morning - Steve Vargas (Jesuit, Sacramento) took the Boys Varsity win at 16:36 over local rival Oscar Uribe (G. Davis, Modesto) 16:37, with Jesuit a 48-53 winner over Davis. Lindsay Allen cranked a near minute win at 18:59 with her team a 55-56 winner over Montgomery (Santa Rosa) - Nick Neely (Crystal Springs Uplands) 16:42 Small Schools Boy winner, with Moreau Catholic 15 points for a sweep as a team (Neely did not have a complete team along) - Whitney Jacobsmeyer (Berean Christian) Small School Girls winner at 21:16 with her school 36 points for the win there - Coaches race once again, with us only lacking Peter Brewer's cowchip toss from that September meet to continue our compilation of his career athletic record - Varsity Results - JV Race Results - Frosh/Soph - Combined Varsity Races and Coaches Race Results

Cal Poly/Venue Sports Invitational - Fairbanks Course (Cuesta College) (SS) -GIRLS - Rachel Bryan show again, as Laguna Creek star establishes Course Record with her 18:05 run (old CR 18:37 Jenny Aldridge 2000) to win the combined Varsity 1-2-3 Race - Peninsula Takes Div I in impressive manner with 25 points - Maria Carrillo (behind Amy Robinson's 19:15) Div II winners with 35 ponts there, with Alyssa Lewis (Shafter) first Div III finisher and her squad scoring 26 points when those teams were scored out of the combined race - Gabi Rios-Sotelo (St. Mary's, Berkeley) Girls Div IV winner 19:55 with Notre Dame (San Jose) 31 points the winner Girls Div IV - Allison Fields (Mission College Prep, SLO) 21:31 Div V winner, with her team 17 points to win - BOYS - Madera takes Boys Div I race with 38 points behind Benny Madrigal's 16:35 win. Patrick Henry (SD) Div II titlests with 29 points, with Kyle Bruser (16:11) top Div II finisher - Manual Puga (Shafter) Top Div III finisher at 16:37, with his squad 21 points at that level. Div IV had Martin Hernandez (Templeton) 16:59 with his squad 48 at that level for the win, with Mario Mendoza (Coast Union) 17:26 fastest Div V athlete and Holy Martyrs 39 - 40 over Coast Union for the win there. - Results -

Bella Vista/Bronco Invitational (Sac Joaquin) - Sierra College Rocklin - Highly ranked Reno squads came in from Nevada and took the Boys (83:52) and Girls (99:10) Team Titles, both scoring a low 33 point total (dozen or more school races)!! Jonathan Cardenas (Reno) 16:00 winner, with Natalie White (Oak Ridge, El Dorado Hill) turning back Collier Lawrence (Reno) 18:39-18:53 in the Girls Varsity run. - South Tahoe (Boys) and Placer (Girls) took Small Schools Team Titles when those results were taken out of the overall results - Results, Race Summaries (meet records galore), and Pictures of Action!!

Lincoln/Lodi Invitational - Lodi Lake (Sac Joaquin) - Lincoln of Stockton continues to roll locally, with Jeff Lease (16:33) and Marty Jellin (16:49) racing 1-2 to pace the team's 38 point total win - Turlock star Dalton Williams continues her huge local wins, here by 70 seconds in 19:17, with Lodi nipping Turlock 62-65 for the win - Results

West Valley/Coed Cross-Country Invitational - Northern Section - W Valley HS (Cottonwood) - Tim Nelson (Liberty Christian, Redding) takes down his CR of 15:44 from last year with a 15:26 win - Meagan Cearley (Woodland) Girls winner 19:15 - Results

Bell Gardens Invitational - Whittier Narrows (SS) - Powerful Ayala (Chino Hills) Girls Group fine 95:13 team time here, with Olvera (Whittier) individual quickest of the ladies at 18:07, with much improved Glendora 79:30 for the Boys team time title, with Mirola (Norwalk) 15:14 for the day's quickest there - Results

Monterey Bay Invitational - Friday session - (CCS - Toro Park) - With this a testing weekend, there was a Friday session of the Monterey Bay Invite - Ruth Graham started off the show by running one of the top times ever on the Toro Park Course (we were informed Sat that the CR is 18:02 - by who and when?- All-Time List we saw was obviously out of date) - Gunn took the Girls team contest with 52 points over Milpitas with 86 - Boys - Jeremy Mineau scooted to a 15:43 win, as Salinas took the Boys Friday Team Title with 75 to Carmel's 85 points - Results
