Frontier League Meet #2 - Cal Lutheran (1000 Oaks) - Santa Clara (Oxnard), tradition Div V power, behind individual winner Tony Arredondo (17:22) take team race with 26 points over Nordhoff's 38 - Kitty Smith (Malibu) 21:31 gets in before the Nordhoff flood took the Ojai school to a 23 point total and the win on Girls side - Results

Monticello Empire League Center Meet #3 - Davis HS - Vacaville takes both team contests (Boys with 52 to Wood's 57) - Girls with 35 to Davis's 38 - Wolhan Ovalle of Vacaville an impressive Boys winner by over 30 seconds at 14:56 - Girls - Tamar Gruwell (17:59) and Cecily Lemmon (18:15) 1-2 sweep for Vacaville - Results

Tri-Valley League (SS) - Fillmore HS - One of State's better small school leagues has Flashes from Fillmore take Oak Park Boys at Home 25-30 with Juan Mejia (Fillmore) 15:43 winner - Oak Park 22-37 over La Reina and field with Lauren Morales (Oak Park) 17:57 - 18:00 winner over Katie Gose (La Reina) - Results

Southwestern League Meet (SS) - Temecula Valley - Murrieta Valley rolls through this meet with Girls 15 and Boys 25 to defeat the rest of a respectable league all put together - Brett Campfield (TV) fine 16:01 winner, with Liza Pasciuto cranking 18:22 on course that supposedly runs similar to Mt. SAC - Results

Channel League (SS) - Arroyo Verde Park (Ventura) - Upstart Ventura HS Girls group continues to roll, with Alexandra Forest (Dos Pueblos) runaway individual winner there at 19:33 - Emily Spiker leads Ventura to 50 point total win - Robert Olivera (Buena, Ventura) rolls to win on his home course at 17:05, with his team an impressive 33 point total - Results and great photos by Ray Seay and Andrew Hecker

Pacific League (SS) - Arcadia County Park - 3.0 miles - Crescenta Valley's highly ranked Boys team came in and went 1-4 led by Ben Kessen's 15:09 with his team 5-0 on the day. Heather Moulton (19:03) led the Arcadia Girls to a 5-0 day with her win - Results

Moore League (SS) - El Dorado Park - 3.0 miles - Long Beach Poly's Boys and the Long Beach Wilson Girls swept away with the team titles, with the Poly Boys 1-2-3-4-6-7 in the seven team league - The Wilson Girls were 1-2-3-5-8-9 in the overall contest to sweep all honors. Poly's Ulices Pina was a 15:03 Boys winner with teammate Kevin Brulois 15:05 in second (BOTH BROKE CHAD DURHAM'S CR OF 15:12 FROM 1997!!). Glinnis Scott (Wilson) nipped teammate Bina Gold 17:59 to 18:03 in the Girls contest. - Results

Sunbelt League (SS) - Perris HS - League Meet #2 - had Perris take Boys contest with 25 points - Malcom Corona (Perris) individual winner at 16:34 - Girls - Hemet 39 point winner with Elizabeth Burio (21:11) Girls winner on tough course - Results

Desert Valley League Meet #2 (SS) Cathedral City - Indio, behind Joel Cota's 15:52 win totalled 28 points for the Boys win, with Rodriguez Leilana (Indio) a 19:29 Girls winner with Coachella Valley and their pack the team winners there with 50 points - Results

Horthern Section action - EAL - Enterprise vs. Shasta at Caldwell Park in Redding - Kenny Frank (Enterprise) wins Boys race at 15:45, but Shasta takes the team contest 26-29. Girls race has Janessa Hoppe (Enterprise) second CR in as many weeks with a 19:19 run that led her team to a 21-34 win - Results

Condor League (Thacher School, Ojai) - (SS) - Bessie Hatch (Thacher), one of the fine Div V runners in the State, took the Girls contest in 19:52, a Course Record - Cate totalled 20 for the Girls win - Parker of Thacher led his school to a Boys win with 23 points at 18:55. - Results

Brentwood 4-Way 10/15 - Brentwood HS (SS) - Chadwick Girls winners in this four-way contest with 30 to Brentwood's 35, with Tami Brown (Brentwood) impressive over minute win at 17:45 on 2.75 mile course - Boys had Brentwood the winners 28-33 over Chadwick, with Bartlett (Chadwick) the winner at 17:01 (3 miles) - Results

Big Sky, Christian, and Victory Leagues 10/15 (SS) - Weekly gathering of Greater Inland Empire (SS) schools at Mt. SAC has Woodcrest Christian Boys and Girls looking strong - Western Christian Boys and Ontario Christian Girls (15 point sweep) strong in the aptly named Christian League - Upland Christian Boys and Desert Christian (Bermuda Dunes) Girls take Victory Titles - Results

Sunkist League (SS) 10/15 - Rubidoux HS (Riverside) - Highly ranked Rubidoux Boys roll to impressive 15 point total behind Antonio Jiminez's winning 15:42 - improved Christina Olivas (Bloomington) (below in blue - Brad Peters photo) races away to CR 18:39 as King (Riverside) scores 28 to win there - results

Foothill League Meet #2 (SS) - Canyon HS Sweeps Varsities - Girls - Frosh Stars Brenda Cohen (19:21) and Courtney Granger (19:26) lead 1-2-4-5-6 sweep - Boys - Ryan Morgan and Troy Werner (15:54) 1-2-5-6-7 for Canyon powerhouse!! - Results

DeAnza League Meet (SS) - Riverside Community College Course (Moreno Valley) - Craig Hall (Big Bear) Boys winner at 16:17 individual winner with Beaumont the Boys team titlests with 51 points - Girls surprise 9th Grader (such a surprise they did not even have her name in the results!!!) (anyone know it please send it to us) from Vista Del Lago HS (new school Moreno Valley - only 9th and 10th graders) individual winner - Yucca Valley & Big Bear tie with 33 (YV wins on 6th runner) with great team contest set up for final League Meet contest between YV, BB, and Beaumont!!! - Results

Los Padres (SS) League Cluster Meet - River Park - Lompoc - Great Boys Team Contest - Lompoc nips city rival Cabrillo (Lompoc) with Duane Solomon continuing to roll this Fall for Cabrillo, winning at 15:11 - Jessica Snell (Nipomo HS - new school near Arroyo Grande) takes Girls contest at 19:16, with Lompoc taking all the Girls' contests - Results
