Kern County Championships- 11/09/02 - Hart Park - McFarland, State Div IV power, had Victor Zavala and Javier Medina make a wrong turn with 800 to go, with Zavala 15 seconds out in front - the duo ended up 5th and 2nd respectively, as McFarland still totalled 35 to win behind Manuel Puga (Shafter) 15:49 individual winner - Results

Diablo Foothill Athletic League (NCS) - Hidden Valley Park (Martinez) - 11/9/02 - Chuck Woolridge: " The Hidden Valley course was a bit muddy due to three days of rain. In the girl's competition College Park edged out Campolindo with Northgate and Miramonte close behind! All four teams are state ranked and showed why! Lindsay Allen of College Park lead wire to wire. In the boy' race Miramonte upset College Park and Campolindo! Over 9 consecutive years these girls have been the only North Bay League Champions. Stamps won NBL from 1993 to 1996, Bei 1997 to 2000, Trotter 2001. What else do they have in common? Suburban League Finals (SS) - 11/06 - Mt. SAC - Norwalk Boys just have to show up to win the title, and they almost do not with bus problems!! Jesse Mirola leads Norwalk to win with 33 points after 10 minute warm-up with fine 15:48 effort.
