HAAL League Finals

Even with a steady rain, Arroy's Yong-Sung Leal continued his impressive
comeback with his third straight league title. He covered the 3.0 mile
Hayward High School course in 15:25, well ahead of the Moreau Cathlic
duo of Brandon Cafballo (15:47) and Taylor Graham (15:52). The team
race saw Moreau Catholic easily win the HAAL title, with Castro Valley
edging Bishop O'dowd for 2nd. They looked every part of their # 4 State
ranking in Division III.
Anna Purcell and Ariel Wright of Bishop O'Dowd went 1-2 on the rest of
the league to pace the Dragons to their 4th straight league title,
beating out league nemesis Castro Valley. The slightly soggy course
slowed times somewhat, but
