commentary and photos. However, Mike has taken his site down after
being refused results on disk by the MPSSAA. Mike said he was told
that TrackFirst was not an "official" site of the MPSSAA.
A web page in the Prince George's County school system carries Maryland
state meet results and responded to TrackFirst. The web page stated
that TrackFirst was provided meet results like "all members
of the media in the same form, printed." The web page said
TrackFirst could get results from the web page. Neither the web
page nor the response to TrackFirst under the heading, "information
related to the 'track first' site," identifies the author of
the site, but the Internet address contains the name "pfischer."
A Pete Fischer is a Prince George's County school official who has
been the official scorer of the Maryland state meets for many years.

Mike's explanation of his action and for a bulletin board which
is full of protests against the MPSSAA. While we don't know the
details of the dispute, we object to any infringement of press freedoms
for Internet media. Since DyeStat turned its focus to national news

and should be commended and supported by anyone connected with the
