*Total mileage in the mid 40's

Wednesday was another prerace run before our dual meet on Thursday, April 29th. Friday was a 400 speed workout with 1-2 min. rest, then 2 mi. repeats on Saturday. Sunday was a shorter prerace run in stead of a long run because we had a dual meet on Monday, May 3rd. Then we had to prerace again for another dual meet on the 5th.

Thursday and Friday were more laid back runs around 5 miles each and then Saturday, May 8th we raced at the Hartford Invitational. In the morning I ran the 4x800 relay (2:14 split) and then a few hours later I ran in the 2mile and got a PR of 10:10. I felt really strong in that race and managed to keep a steady pace by myself. I'm not known for even splitting so that was big for me! ha.

Sunday was a prerace and Monday was, get this....another dual meet! Last one! Alright, so then May 11th was a prerace and the 12th was Suburban Council Championships. I ran in the 1500 (4:29), the 800 and the 4x400 relay (split of 58).

So we finally got about a week off of racing. Thursday was a tempo run, and then Friday was 2mile repeats. Saturday, May 15th was a 400 speed workout with some rep 200's at the end. Sunday would be a long run and then Monday would be a cruise interval workout with 3 minutes rest between the 1000's.

Tuesday was a prerace before sectionals on Wednesday the 19th of May. Here I ran the 4x800(just to win), the 400 (58), the 3000 (just to win), and the 4x400 relay (60?).

OK so Thursday was a speed workout of 400's. Then Friday, 2mile repeats at 6:40- 6:50 pace. Saturday, May 22nd would be a cruise interval workout with 1 minute rest between the 1000's. Sunday, of course the long run. Monday would be the 4X200 rep with 1 minute rest to hit an "800 PR", then a 4 mi. tempo run. Tuesday, the 25th would be a little different than the usual, with an 800 workout. So it'd be 6 800's at like 2:40 and then 4 200's at rep pace (29-30).
