*Total mileage in the mid 40's

Week with no meets:
Sunday: Long run (8-9 miles)
Monday: cruise interval workout consisting of 5 1000's and 4 200's at the end. I'd run my 1000's at about a 3:20-30 pace with 1min. rest and the 200's were at rep pace and I'd hit around 29-30 with 3 min. rest.
Tuesday: 1 mi. warm-up. Then 4 all out 200's with 1min. rest (goal to hit your individual 800 PR). Then usually a 3 mile tempo run at 6:50- 7:00min. pace.
Wednesday: 1mi. warm-up, then 2 2mi. repeats hitting about a 6:40-7:00 pace.
Thursday: Speed workout consisting of 1 mi. warm-up, then 8-10 400's at 70 with 1-2 min. rest
Friday: 2 mi. warm-up, then 4 mile Tempo Run at 6:50-7:00 pace.
Saturday: Another Cruise Interval workout, maybe instead with 800's hitting a 2:45 pace.

*Total mileage in the high 40's

Our first outdoor meet was Wednesday, April 7. It was a dual meet, so I ran 4 events. Thursday was a cruise interval workout, then Friday a tempo run with the 4 fast 200's that I explained in the workout schedule and Saturday was the 2mile repeats at about a 6:40-50 pace.

The next week from the 11th through the 18th we stuck to the routine of a "no meet week". On Monday April 19th, we did a prerace to ease up before a dual meet on the 20th. Then we did another prerace on the 21st because on the 22nd, we raced our 4x800 relay trials in the morning at Penn Relays.

We ran 9:03 which was a section 2 record. It was a really exciting race and we all PR'd, my split was 2:10.9 I believe. That night we won the DMR, in which I ran the mile leg at 4:46. Then to finish off Penn Relays, the next day we raced the finals of the 4x800 relay. We didn't do as hot as the first day but we were a little tired, not gonna lie.

Then right after Penn, we drove down to the Liverpool Invitational on the 24th and I ran the 3000 just to win and then raced the 4x800. It was a long week!! So Sunday was back to the usual long run, then Monday was an easy run. Tuesday the 27th was a cruise interval workout with 3 minutes rest between the 1000's.
