Amanda Trotter NJ-Amamda was 3rd in the 2mile and finished at 10:32.81.

Trisa Nickoley KS-This was Trisa's first time at a national meet. No experience didn't matter. She did very well, coming in 3rd in the 800. She is a junior, so we are sure to see her next year.

Two big names in high school distance running these days: Chris Solinsky and Tim Moore. Chris, finished 2nd in the 2 Mile and Time was 3rd. Chris a Junior will be back next year.

Rachel Umberger NH (r) won the 800 with Diane Heiser NY coming in 4th.
Joaquin Chapa OR-Joaquin ran in the 1 mile glad for the competition but not happy with his time of 4:16.39.
Kristina Smith and Step Dad, Mike Robinson AK-Out of nowhere Kristina has made a mark for herself in the distance scene. The Golden West, where she won the mile last week, was her coming out party. Then she backed that up with a heat win at 800 meters here. She will be back next year as a senior at West Anchorage.

Paul Cross FL with parents Dr. Jasinth Cross and Arthur Cross. Paul ran the 800 and finished 4th. Paul is a charming young man. We will look forward to his participation next year.

Julia Cathcart with Mom, Karen Koch MS. Julia won her sections in both the Mile and 2-Mile. Julia, a senior, will get to William and Mary in 2003 after spending a year in France through a scholarship program she earned. Julia and her Mom are sweeties and will be missed next year in the high school arena.

Katya Kotetskaya with Coach, Tafiana Bell-Zelentsora AR. Katya inherited good genes from her mother, Olga Dvirna a European Champion in the 1500. She travels with her coach, an accomplished athlete in the 2x 400 and hurdles. Coach Bell-Zelentsora is sister-in-law to Coach Earl Bell of Bell Athletics--Pole Vault Club. Katya is on her way to compete in Moscow in the Olympic stadium.
