12/19/98 at George Mason University Field House, Fairfax VA F.I.T. Indoor Track MeetThe F.I.T. (Friends of Indoor Track) Indoor Track Meet was the first major meet of the 1999 indoor prep season in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Fifty schools from Virginia, Maryland, and DC participated. As they enjoyed the fine George Mason University fieldhouse, they furthered the cause of a future indoor facility for Northern Virginia high schools. This is the fourth year F.I.T. has conducted the meet as a fund raiser to build a building that high schools can use for indoor track. The entire metropolitan area is currently starved for places for prep indoor competition. Nick Welihozkiy (SP 56-5) and Natalie Dye (PV 10-0) set meet records. Running Events
