Weekend #1 Statewide

"She's Soaring Yet Again!"
USATF Indoor Nationals
Saturday-Sunday, February 26-27, 2005

Brittany Daniels places 5th in the Triple Jump (42-11.75) and sixth in the
Long Jump (20-01.50) at Senior Nationals! Not bad for a high schooler!

Coach John Harvey's account on Brittany's two huge fouls:
"WE HAD IT WON! Britt went over 45 feet on her first foul and she was over by an inch - then on her second jump
SHE WENT OUT OVER THE 46 FOOT MARK and we all started jumping around because everyone thought it was
a good jump. Then the official put up a late red flag, the crowd started to boo the officials and the rest is history. ...
Brit is going to do something in the TJ thats going to be out of this track world." -- John Harvey, Merrill West coach
(Note: She'll likely compete at the U of Washington Indoor this weekend, then off to New York for the NSIC meet.)
