Back Home in Nebraska: Samantha Shepard has her roots in Nebraska. Here Samantha is with her Mom, Kathy, Granddad Cornelius "Boots" Shepard and Dad, Ray.

Sanya Richards with Dad, Archie and Mom, Sharon. Sanya had some outstanding performances 1st in 200 elite and 1st in the 400.

Janice Davis with brother and coach, Steve Davis. Janice won the 60m dash. Steve lives in Atlanta and coaches via email to Janice, who lives in Mississippi..

Katya Kostetskaya AR with Coach, Tafiana Bell-Zelentsora. Katya is from St. Petersberg, Russia. She is an exchange student here attending Junior High in Jonesboro AR. Katya was 2nd in the 800.

Katya inherited good genes from her mother, Olga Dvirna, a European Champion in the 1500. She travels with her coach, an accomplished athlete in the hurdles. Coach Bell-Zelentsora is sister-in-law to Coach Earl Bell of Bell Athletics Pole Vault Club.

Jenna Utecht FL with Mom, Rhonda and Dad, Jerry. Jenna finished second in both hurdles and high jump (5-8) --impressive for a freshman.

Sanya Richards FL and Coach, John Guarino

Coach John Turek and Lashay Shelton. Coach Turek is coach of the Texas Express. He has some impressive athletes under his care. And best of all he's a great guy.


Jenny Green NE-Jenny made a name for herself this year by winning the Girls Pole Valut Summitt.
Kathie and Jim Green Jenny's parents. The've supported her through a tough start at pole vault. She had to beg and fight her way onto the team as a pole vaulter. (Girls just didn't pole vault in Nebraska, or many other places until the past couple of years.)

Colorado's Liberty HS Coach, Ed Somerville with Dustin Somerville. Coach Somerville is a Coach of the Year for Boys and Girls track.He's also quite an advocate for adjusting scores for altitude and ready to talk about it.

Track Denver Coach Mark Hackett with daughter, Ashley Cruder. Ashley is getting a head start in track competitions. She is a 7th grader who finished 12th in the 60m dash preliminaries.

Tamara Burns NE with her Family: Dad, Mike-Mom, Natalie and Brother, Michael. Tamara won the Shot Put and is a DyeStat Elite.

Jen Wynn with Proud Mom, Jeannie. Jen won the Girls Weight Throw

Kelly Reynolds RI with Dad, Larry. Kelly finished 3rd in the weight throw.


A Neat Pair: Bob Low and Mom, Nancy. Bob finished 2nd in the Pole Vault.

Stephanie Best, TX and Dad, Randy. Stephanie finished 2nd in the pole vault.
