It felt really easy going up the switchbacks. I have had a crazy week, but I was here and PR'd, and with everything pointing to the end of the season it's great! " Chad Hall, Big Bear HS, won Division IV Sweeps in 15:26 - "I wanted to do well going in, but the race turned out to be a lot harder than I thought. I talk to my brother all the time (Ryan calls) and he said to not worry about time, but just enjoy the running." Tom McLean, Flintridge Prep, won Division V Sweeps in 15:53 - "I wanted to maintain on the hills and work hard on the downhills. This entire summer I realized my downhills were awful, and that is what this was for to get ready for CIF and all. I want to help my team to win, CIF and State."
Anna Farias-Eisner, Harvard-Westlake HS, won Division III Sweeps in 18:01, fastest girls time of the day - "I wanted to stay up with the front group. I felt good so I surged and took the lead up "poop-out" hill. I was just hoping to place in the top three coming into the meet." Liz Hitchner, Hal Moon Bay HS, won Division IV Sweeps in 18:14 - "I did not know that I was going to win it. I have run here the last two years. I'd like to keep on improving. This win is completely unexpected!" Ashleigh Pratt, Woodcrest Chrsitian, won Division V Sweeps in 19:30 - "I felt really strong at the end. I thought I would be in the top five. I took the lead into the last straightaway. I was fifth or six off poop-out hill, and gradually caught those ahead of me."
