| James Phillips recovering from javelin accident
The coaches and athletes at Marysville-Pilchuck High School would like to
thank the many coaches and athletes who have supported us through this very
tragic incident (James Phillips being struck by a javelin during warmups at the
state meet). Your kindness and best wishes have helped us all through an
unfortunate situation. The quality of coaches and athletes in this area is
second to none!
James went through extensive surgery for a fractured skull and related
damage. He is recovering well and his condition is improving. The recovery
process will be slow, but he already talks of competing next year. We will not
be trying to update this message. All other news will come from the hospital or
the family.
