Sam Pierson 11 CO with dad and coach, Mark. Mark competed in pole vault himself in college and actually still does, though on a different scale. Currently, he is at the 13'7 range. In addition to Sam, Mark is coach to his wife, Linda who recently took up pole vaulting and now does 8ft. Linda decided that she was spending too much time on the sidelines watching so joined Sam and Mark on the runway.
Paul Litchfield had the best men's performance in the "Battle of the Sexes" pole vault competition. While Paul did 18'4 it was not enough to win. The women took 1st place and treated to dinner on the town. Here Paul shows off a special outfit he had made to demonstrate the classy and formal side of pole vault.
