next year and Aimeé will be at Harvard. Aimeé was awarded
the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards Courage Award this year for her
courage in overcoming the physical and mental challenges brought on
by the chronic disease of Mitochondrial Myopathy. This is an illness
which deplete's energy at the cellular level, forcing her body to
run on 40% of a healthy person's energy supply. With all of the discomfort,
she fought to run and was successful in being a part of a state championship
team. Her accomplishments are many and an inspiration to all. |
