Third time is the charm for Sara Bei; edges Anita Siraki in thrilling stretch duel
A Foot Locker finalist as a freshman and sophomore and a non-qualifier as a junior, Montgomery CA Sara Bei reached the top as a senior in an exciting stretch duel with Anita Siraki of Glendale CA. Laura Zeigle of Bingham UT was third, completing a 1-2-3 sweep by the West region.
The top two entered the home stretch side by side and Bei just
got the upper hand about 30 meters from the finish in the closest girls finish
in the 22-year history of Foot Locker CC
Sara Bei gets championship trophy in her third trip to
Orlando.
