Western Albemarle Sweeps Jefferson District Thursday, October 26
At the William & Mary Invitational, Louisa's Daniel Kane barely held off Western Albemarle's Philp Dejong to earn a sixth place finish. In this Jefferson District championship at Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville, Kane got a much more decisive win, but it was Dejong's team that took home the team title. Western's boys scored 20 points to Louisa's 49, while the Lady Warriors scored 27 to easily take the Jefferson title, also over Louisa. The Louisa Lion's had the victor in the girl's race also, with Lynette Robinson and teammate Teresa Davis going one, two. Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville, host was Western Albemarle... mid 70's and sunny.
