Goodbye Coach Weis

Coach Weis is turning in his stop watch and picking up his fishing pole after 26 years as a Cowboy at Oklahoma State University.

This year the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Cowboy Jamboree was dedicated to Coach Weis, OSU's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach for the past 26 years.  He has had great success as a coach and has earned respect in the sport throughout the Unites States and international communities.

Before the Cowboy Jamboree, family, friends and staff held celebrated his career at a reception Friday night.    Former runners came back to roast Coach Weis.

Coach Weis and his wife, Donna, break in their new retirement rockers.

They came from near and far (like New Zealand and England) to give tribute and reminisce about their times together.  They had a little roasting and toasting.  They're were a lot of laughs and a lot of tears.  But most of all a lot of thank yous and appreciation for the coaching and emotional support.

Coach's son, Joe, remembers life with Coach Weis.
