The weather made for a particularly challenging pole vault experience. Trying to keep the pole grip dry was tough. Some boys were rather ingenious, however, and found refuge in the water tent for both boys and poles.
The weather didn't stop Andrew Rademacher PA from winning at 15-01.25 Andrew Parks NY was 2nd in the pole vault.
Ian Cassidy NY tied for 3rd
Rory Quiller NY tied for 3rd
Brian Zubradt NY found a way to keep dry. From sunny California: Vaulter, Matt Lackman and Thrower, John Ludden. They came to compete in the field events while their coach Jerome Davis ran in the USA v. The World 4x400. For Matt this trip was practice for dealing with Conneticut weather at Yale next year. But John prefers to stay in sunny California and attend U of California.
Gavin McMahan was making the best of a very wet situation.
