Donna on the Side at the Iolani Invitational

the Friday night Pasta Dinner

Friday night was the meet eve pasta dinner. Teams from Oregon, California, Wisconsin, Hawai'i, and as far away as New Zealand met and mixed. The tables were cheerfully decorated with beautiful ginger, bougainvillea and flame tree flowers with fern and palm sprays. Pasta with red sauce, salad, and roll was the main course with orange slices for desert. A special treat came from the Iolani Dancers who shared a bit of the Hawaiian cultural as they danced for the group. But the treat didn't stop there. Next, both runners and coaches joined the dancers for a special experience. It was great fun for all.
