Omar Craddock of Killeen (Tx.) had just two fair jumps. The first was 48-5 ¾ in the third round that guaranteed him three addition jumps. The second came in the fifth round and was 50-10 ½ that gave him the win and moved him into second on the yearly national list. Joseph Harris of Washington (Denver) was second with a personal best of 47-7 ½, Stephen Michel of Laramie (Wy.) was third at 47-1 ½, Stephen Scott-Ellis of Federal Way (Was.) was fourth at 47-1¼, sophomore Kason Covington of Capital (Boise, Id.) was fifth at 47-0 ¼ and Andre McDonald of Park Hill (Kansas City, Mo.) earned his fourth individual medal with a sixth place jump of 46-5..

Amanda Hunter of Marlborough (Los Angeles) was second at 40-1 ½, freshman Ciara Brewer of James Logan (Union City, Ca.) was third at 38-8 ½ to miss the class record of 39-0 ½ set by Jodi Schlesinger (Clarkstown South, West Nyack, N.Y.) in 1996. Melia Cox of Poly (Long Beach, Ca.), another freshman, was fourth at 38-6 ¾ and Aziza Baker of St. Mary’s (Stockton, Ca.) was fifth at 38-1 and sophomore Tara Richmond of Poly (Long Beach, Ca) was sixth at 37-10 ¼.
