Flathead's Zoe Nelson destroys the home course record by 27 seconds.
That is a phenomenal effort by Zoe which breaks her own record set
at the Flathead Invitational in early September. The new record
of 17:13 is the fastest time run in the state so far this year.
Kurt Michels continues running well but falling short of breaking
the home course record set by David Vidal in 1999. Kurt's time of
14:34 is only 6 seconds short of breaking the record of 14:28. Freshman
Carly Brown of Flathead finished second at 18:32. Erin Windauer
finished in third at 18:52. Flathead had nine girls under 20 minutes,
which is a first for the girls' team. Running without Caleb Ambrose
the Flathead boys managed to put 6 kids under 17 minutes. Matt Parker
and Nick Palmer had breakthrough races. Overall Flathead boys had
14 runners under 18 minutes. Most of the younger runners ended the
season with personal bests with some having breakthrough races.
Weather: Windy, partly cloudy, with temperatures in the low 50's.
