Comments by an observor:
- Shane Stroup, River Hill. just missed the course record
set by Mike Meyers of New Jersey last year in the Bull Run Invitational.
- Billy Duffy, Dulaney. Fought hard with Stroup and finished
in 16:16 as fast as Pat Bailey on the same course at Bull Run.
2nd Fastest time of the day.
- Karen Pulliam looks like she is back, won the 4A State
Title in 19:26 fastest girls time of the day.
- Tenke Zoltani finished 3rd in her slowest time of the
year at Hereford. Bull Run-18:53, Counties 19:20, States 19:44.
- Dulaney Girls - Despite Zoltani's bad day and the dropout
of NO.3 Dusty Aeiker, the Lions still won by 40 points over a
good North Carroll squad. They also beat Allentown Central Catholic
to win the Georgetown Prep, and A.C.C knocked off two nationally
ranked teams in the PA States. Dulaney might be worth a top 20
or better national ranking right now.
- CMW Boys - Mustangs had 4 under 17 at Hereford and their
no.5 was 17:08. That is IMPRESSIVE at Hereford. Set the all time
State Scoring record...breaking one held by Westminster and their
team of Jason Santucci, Josh Davis, Jesse O'Connell, Kevin Pool,
and Tristan Gilbert.
