Challenge - Sat 10/12/02 - (SS)
5 day of registration left, these are the teams that have already registered.
I have committments from Murrietta Valley, Bloomington, Fontana, Alta
Loma, Ontario, and Montclair. We figure that by race time there will be
45 - 50 schools, and 1400 runners.
The race schedule, below will pit the best teams from each county in the
sweepstakes race. From the entire day's competition, the fastest runners
in each grade, sex, and country will be awarded trophies, plaques and/or
patches.
From a spectator perspective, this is perhaps the best spectator course
around! With only a small amount of movement, 95% of the course can be
seen.
From a runner's and coache's perspective, the meet will feature a timing
system run by Doug Padilla, American two-mile record holder. His system
will produce not only immediate after race results, but also features
individualized results for each runner, as he or she exits the chute!
