Hi Sports Grid-Track (Football/Track) Blas Uzueta was a kicker for Arroyo Grande high school. had a 44 yard average.He earned all league and all county honors for punting. He throws the discus 168"7" and the shot put 58"1" Philip Adam, senior from Saint Joseph in Santa Maria should be on your team. he was a three time first team all league selection twice as a punter and once as a linebacker and twice an All-CIF selection as a punter and a linebacker. You know of his accomplishments on the track. He has qualified for four individual events in the Division 4 finals on Saturday. He will be attending Rice university in Houston as a decathlete. Phillip Malinoski senior, Canyon High School, Canyon Country, first team All CIF, Division II kicker. High jumper, 6’ 8 ½”, number 5 in the state. Robert Malone, shot putter at King 55-7 (top 20 statewide) was also the punter for King's football team and is headed to Fresno St. next year to play football. He's also the cousin of Malone, the punter for USC these last couple of National Championship seasons. Matt Council from Lodi High School (SJS) should be on this list for field goal kicking. During the football season, as a kicker had 73 points and was 9-11 on field goals including two game winners (one with 8.8 seconds to beat Golden Valley in the first round of the CIF D-1 Playoffs and a regular season game winner in overtime to beat Lincoln High School.) He was also on Chris Sailer's Top Recruit list. This spring track season, he holds pr's of 10.86(100-Modesto Relays) 21.59(200- Sacramento Meet of Champions) and 49.21(400- Sacramento Meet of Champions), and has been anchoring his 4x400 team (3:22.80). Don Kephart the kicker and punter for Acalanes HS in lafayette (NCS) has thrown the shot 51-9, he is only 5-9, 185 and was an outstanding kicker check the Contra Costa Times for stats, Don threw 51-9 at the recent DFAL championships where he also won the disc im not sure about the mark there. Jonathan Shapiro of Harvard-Westlake was an All-Mission League tight end and has thrown the shot 55-8”, winning the Mission League. He also punted, until he broke his wrist in late October. He was also a member of the 3 time CIF champion H-W basketball team, although his action this year was limited because of his broken wrist. Joe Cozby (Arroyo Grande) kicked a 48, 40, 38
yard field goals in his career and was voted first team all league
kicker last year. He has run the 200m and 400m in track this year
with times of 21.9 and 49.74. |
