Campbell County boys, Cheyenne Central girls take titles
Dominick Robinson wins again for Campbell boys
Team Champs:
- Class 4A: Campbell County boys 80 over Rock Springs 83, Cheyenne Central girls 46 over Natrona 71
- Class 3A: Douglas boys 51 over Lander Valley 67, Powell girls 57 over Jackson Hole 83
- Class 2A: Wyoming Indian boys 21 over Little Snake River 24, Saratoga girls 20 over Hulett 28
Class 4A Highlights
- State powerhouse Campbell County finds themselves the toast of Wyoming once again, barely edging out Rock Springs and Laramie, 80-83-85.
- The Camels' Dominick Robinson cruised to the 4A individual title with a 16:15, 22 seconds ahead of Garrett Zans of Rock Springs.
- On the girls side, Cheyenne Central made it clear it was their race to lose. Central placed all seven runners in the top 25 to dominate the field, winning by 25 points.
- Nicole Peterson of Rock Springs outlasted Jessica Lemaster by six seconds to take home the individual title.
Class 3A Highlights- In 3A, Douglas ran away with the State Trophy with relative ease, placing all scoring runners in the top 20 and defeating Lander Valley, 51-67.
- In a tight battle up front, Jackson Hole's Andy Phillips pulled away to win with a 17:19, three seconds ahead of Lander Valley's Luke Bromley.
- Brooke Hughes of Glenrock becomes the only 3A girl to break 19 with an 18:58.
- Powell places five runners in the top 20 to cruise to the State Title.
Class 2A Highlights- Saratoga girls place five in the top 10 to defeat Hulett, 20-28 for the 2A team trophy.
- Jordan Wohlleber of Hulett, crushes the field with a 19:27, over a minute ahead of Saratoga's Adria Grubb.
- Led by Caleb Her Many Horses, Wyoming Indian edges Little Snake River, 21-24 for the championship.
- Her Many Horses is the only boy to run under 17, running 16:50 for the individual title.
