Advancement Standards
Automatic Qualifiers -- The top 6 scorers in each regional meet advance to the state meet. In case of ties, all tied competitors advance.
Additional Qualifiers -- Other individuals and relay teams meeting qualifying standards (see table below) in their regional finals also advance to the state meet. This applies only to field events and running events contested as finals on time; events with preliminary rounds (55 Meter Dash and 55 Meter Hurdles) do not have advancement standards. The additional advancement standards are based on the average of 6th place performances in the three previous state meets in each classification.
