The Outstanding Field Athlete, Michelle Carter with her younger sister Deidra "Dee Dee." Michelle is the national record holder in the shot put. She will be throwing at U of Texas next year. While only just starting to throw, Dee Dee finished 8th in shot put and 3rd in discus. Both girls are adding to a family tradition of throwing. Dad Michael Carter holds the national high school record in shot put. Dee Dee says she has a lot of catching up to do, but she is going to give it a try.

Little sister, Deidre is following in her footsteps to hopefully keep the title in the family.
