Girls

NE#1/US#1 Hilton NY girls won the D2 race over NE#4/US#14 Radnor PA and had the best finish overall in a meet with three varsity divisions and 4 of the NE's top 8 teams.

The D1 race saw the best individual performance of the day as NE#3 Greenwich jr Caitlin Lane topped Suffern soph Shelby Greany in a battle of FL finalists, 17:29-18:01 over 5k. Greenwich led the 20-team field with 51 points to Holy Names' 85, and was 5th in an overall comparison.

Hilton and Radnor's clash saw Hilton go 2-4-7 with Allison Sawyer-Caroline Schultz-Shelby Herman, while Radnor's #1, Kelyn Freedman, was 8th. Radnor then went 10-11-14-25 and gained some ground back with their 4-5 runners, but not enough. Warwick Valley was a solid 3rd with 98, including the winning 17:53 of Tori Pennings (2nd combined).

In D3, North Shore's Brianna Welch beat Shen's Cara Janeczko in a battle of freshmen, 18:08-18:13. NE#8 Bay Shore NY was in the race, led by Callie Hogan (4th/3rd scoring) and Kim Moran (5th/4th), but was beaten by Shen, 60-91.

Boys

For the boys, NE#3 Shen and #6 Warwick Valley were in different races, but Shen easily had the best combined total in winning D3. They were led by sr Steve Murdock's winning 15:08 and won over Smithtown, 31-58. Guilderland was in the race, but Murdock's rival Brian Rhodes-Devey wasn't. Ticonderoga's Lee Berube was 2nd to Murdock and 2nd best overall in 15:20.

In D1, Warwick edged Shaker, 53-58, led by Terrance Prial's winning 15:24.
