Molly Lederman has been one of the
pioneers of girls pole vaulting throughout her high
school career. She has taken turns with her Air Time
Athletics training partner, Samantha Shepard, in holding
the national indoor reocrd several times each. A senior
now (headed for Yale next year), Molly is off to a
strong start with her 12-9 at the Brown Invitational
putting her on top of the DyeStat Elite 2002 indoor
rankings.

Michael Morrison
Willingboro NJ
Michael Morrison is from a school
famous for its relay teams, but he is making high
jump their strong point now. Winner of the adidas
Outdoor Championship at Raleigh last June as a sophomore,
Morrison has made two appearances at the New York
Armory this season and cleared 7 feet in both of them.
He leads the nation at 7-1. By the time he entered
the competition at 6-8 the Holiday Classic, the competition
had all dropped out. He worked his way to 7 feet quickly
and effortlessly. It will be interesting to see how
high he goes when he gets some serious competition.
