Eligibility protest lodged against Boys and Girls - Five New York City schools joined in a protest against Boys and Girls sr Meisue Francis, claiming she is competing in her fifth Penn Relays in violation of the meet's rule of 8 semesters enrollment or 4 consecutive years. The protest said Francis competed for St. David's Catholic of Grenada in 1998. Meet officials had not ruled on the protest late Friday, but gave Boys and Girls winner's awards for the DMR and 4x800 relay wins that included Francis. In a press conference, Frances said she was a 12-year-old eighth grader when she ran at Penn in 1998 and then moved to New York the following year.
