The closest contest was for second place; Northport
NY soph Lindsay Sundell (10) caught Baldwin PA sr Julia Pudlin
(14) in the last strides. Afterward, Pudlin announced this was
her last HS race. She has been running in pain while trying
to come back from a broken foot last year. She will now rest
and point for running at Yale next year.
