Girls
It was supposed to be a high level matchup between Boys &
Girls NY, which just set the national record at the Penn Relays;
Saratoga NY, whose deep distance corps was US#1 in cross
country last fall; and Bronxville NY, which has been in the
mix of national record DMRs this year. But Boys & Girls scratched
(reloading for a new peak at AOC Raleigh next month) and Saratoga
did the same after their ace Nicole Blood upset Molly Huddle in
the 1600.
So the elegant Bronxville girls went about their business alone
and still took 3 seconds off Boys & Girls' meet record set a
year ago. Splits: Caroline Mullen 2:16.4, Michelle Rorke 2:17.6,
Katy Ogorzaly 2:22.3, and Catha Mullen 2:13.5.
