Boys 800 - rough trip at the Armory for
Keith Jensen after long flight from Texas
477 Keith Jensen, Coppell
TX sr, was buried 6 deep midway, swung wide in the stretch
and just missed catching 1531 Trimarcie Ramos, Wilbur
Cross CT, 1:56.13 to 1:56.32, the 1-2 times in the country
this season. Why did Jensen fly 8 hours from Dallas for his
first indoor meet? "To run at the Armory; I heard it
was fast," Jensen said. "It was a lot bumpier (bouncy)
than I thought it would be." Jensen is gunning for the
Texas state championship this year after being shut out in
his region by Jonathan Johnson and Will Fitts last year (Texas
only advances 2 runners from regions.)

4x400 -
the South Shore NY anchor had a clear lead starting
out (below), but he drifted out on the backstretch
to let 4736 Thomas Jefferson of Brooklyn through and
then Camden's Jade Smith (284) streaked by on a 47.7
anchor split that just missed. Winslow (green) also
caught South Shore in the stretch for third. Jefferson 3:22.58,
Camden 3:22.72.
