My apologies to Oakland Mills MD's champion team for not getting any
pictures of their race. We never dreamed a team in the "slow"
section would win, considering the many great teams in the "fast"
section. I was busy taking photos of the duel between Mumford MI and
Vineland NJ in section 4, and never realized until later that this
was a fight for second place behind Oakland Mills. It was a great
farewell to Oakland Mills for coach Sam Singleton; after many state
champion teams at Oakland Mills (and national champion sprinter Kyle
Farmer last year), Singleton is leaving to become head football and
track coach at a new high school in Howard County MD.
