Boys - Girls

Bobby Curtis - For the second straight year, Curtis wins on a lean, splitting last lap leader Alex Tatu (right) and Sam Bair (hip #6) in the last desparate strides.

Molly Huddle broke on top and never trailed, building a big gap after 3 laps and settling into 36-second laps the rest of the way.

The pattern for the first half mile was set on the first turn as 2 Matt DeBole took the lead and 5 Bobby Curtis 2nd. The chase pack (left) included 10 Cameron Schwer, 8 Marc Pelerin, and 9 Chris Lukezic.
Alex Tatu moved into second on the 5th lap (below) and took the lead on the 7th lap. At the bell (right), 1 Jeremy Johnson and Lukezic had slipped past Curtis into second and third.
Curtis and Bair pull alongside Tatu (left) for a 3-wide sprint to the finish. Afterward, Curtis and Tatu shake hands as steveu approaches for interviews.
