Boys & Girls NY
The Stacy Livingston-led powerhouse warmed up with a DMR-4x800
double at the Penn Relays and then toppled mighty Rockford MI in
both events at the AOC nationals in Raleigh. The national 4x800
record fell each time, and the DMR at Raleigh was only 2 seconds
behind the record (San Lorenzo Valley CA). They even rang up a US#6
time in the 4x400 to show some versatility.

Rockford MI
The last tour of Kalin Toedebusch and Linsey Blaisdell was bittersweet
as Rockford's AOC reign was undermined in losses to Boys & Girls
NY in 4x800 and DMR, but the girls from Michigan improved on their
own US record in the 4-mile relay to go with their national record
4x1600 set earlier at Dayton.

Wilson Long Beach CA
Terry Kennedy's deep squad, with Lashinda Demus pacing a pack of
undergrads, led the nation in three events: 4x100, 4x400 and SMR;
set national records in the indoor SMR and outdoor 4x400 (where
they now hold the five best times in US high school history); US#6
4x200; doubled in California State Meet; travelled coast to coast
picking up gold medals at Arcadia, Texas Relays, Mt. SAC, and NSIC
New York; 2nd to United Stars at Simplot. Wilson's 45.10 in the
California Southern Section Division 1 meet made them the second
fastest 4x100 team ever after St. Bernard Playa del Rey CA, which
rang up three faster times in 1997. Wilson's SMR 3:55.96 at the
Texas Relays was the 6th fastest ever outdoors..
