in remembrance of the terrible day a month earlier in Lower
Manhattan,
8 miles to the south.
and 9,000 runners gave their all in 33
races.

Huge meet runs all day at historic Van Cortlandt
Park way up Broadway at 242nd street at the end of the 7th street
subway. Eastern States Girls championship is part of the meet. Meet
