The big news out of the fast new track at Ursinus University in Collegeville, PA were the pair of 6.8's by Juanita Broaddus (1st) of William Penn and Jakki Bailey of Kennett in the 55 Dash. Both times are currently Top 5 US. Chioma Nuaneshuida, Penn Wood, went 7.0. The night also marked the return to a solo event for Baldwin School's Julia Pudlin, who has been out for over eight months with a broken heel. Pudlin finished second in the 3000 to Villa Maria's Kim Malcolm, who pulled away just before the mile to win in 10:26.8. Pudlin ran 10:46.5, a strong showing coming off the injury and only a few weeks of training. Broaddus also took the 400 in 56.6, which is a new US#8. Seven 4x800 teams were under 10:00, with Cardinal O'Hara (Mary Debevec,Megan Hallinan, Danielle Schopf, Erin Kelly) winning in 9:38.0, about 10 seconds up on second place Radnor, and the fastest in PA this season (Radnor 9:48.9, Haverford 9:51.8, Villa Maria Academy 9:52.1, North Penn 9:52.2, Pennsbury 9:53.1, Cheltenham 9:58.8).
