TFCAGP Division I @ Lehigh University -
The 800 looks like it's shaping up to be a very fast battle. And if the last
two weeks are a sign, then North Penn is rounding into end of indoor
shape with two guys in eight days under 2:00. This time the honors were
delivered by Steve Craig, who simply broke Pat Nash's (O'Hara) meet
record with his 1:56.6, the top in PA. William Tennent's John Sarge was
second in 1:58.4. WITHOUT CRAIG, the North Penn 4x800 team of Rick
Bennett, Brad Maier, Adam Thomas, and Dan Michael goes 8:07.1. LaSalle
was 2nd in 8:10.1, and Abington 3rd in 8:11.6. Cheltenham's Jesse
Patterson won the 60 Hurdles in 8.2. In the 4x200, the Glen Mills
foursome of Eric Alexander, Mavis Polk, Reggie Bishop, and Barry Jones
went 1:31.9 to better the MR of Central set in 1986 of 1:33.1. Rob
Daniele, Cheltenham, took the Pole Vault, clearing 14-0.

Saturday, February 9, 2002 -
TFCAGP Division II @ Lehigh University -
Ray Bobrownicki, Westtown, not only set a meet record, he took over 1st
in PA with a leap 6-10, which is a tie US#5. Lower Merion's Ryan Westman
took the Long Jump with 21-10, while Girard College's James Womack won
the Triple Jump, going 44-9. The Steve show took center stage in the 60
Meter Hurdles, with Steve Nichols, Penncrest, getting the nod with his
8.1 over Phoenixville's Steve Ayers, who went 8.2. Dougherty and Strath
Haven were both times in 3:30.0 in the 4x400, with Dougherty getting the
win.

Friday, February 8, 2002 -
Franklin & Marshall High School Invitational
- Schuylkill Valley's Dane Miller won another Shot Put competitio, this
time with a throw of 55-05. Wyomissing's Jon Hart was second with his
52-11.50. Tyler Fedeli, Altoona, cleared 6-6 in the High Jump. Kristen
Andrews, Garden Spot, took the 55 Hurdles in 8.5. And in the distance
corp, Lampeter-Strasburg's Emily Kruger ran an 11:27.4 3200.
