October 20, 2001 - Central League Championships @ Rose Tree Park - The Haverford girls delivered on some of the promise they showed on paper early in the season by going 7-9-10-11-15 for 52 points with an impressive 36 second spread to win the team championship. Soph Fiana York went 21:15. Springfield finished second with 87 points on the strength of two seniors, Stefanie Thomas and Ann Marie Regan, who ran together most of the way until the final mile, with Thomas getting the win in 18:40.5. Regan was ten seconds back, and more than a minute up on third place. Penncrest boys pulled a surprise upset of regular season champions Haverford, going 1-5-8-18-22 for 54 points, 16 better than Haverford. They were led by the first place finish of Rob Craft who toured the Rose Tree

behind Molly Ainsman and her 19:50.

October 19, 2001 - Suburban One National Conference Championships (Patriot & Colonial Divisions) @ William Tennent High School - Council Rock isn't letting anyone get close as the season hits the meets than really count. The girls, ranked US#13 by Harrier, pulled even further ahead of North Penn, taking the championship (1-3-4-5-19) 32-53 behind Jessica Cickay's 18:22 5K, more than a minute ahead of her nearest competitor. In Divisional scoring, Rock took the Patriot, while CB East took the Colonial. The Council Rock boys and CB East boys repeated the division titles of the girls, but it was the Rock boys who went 1-2-3-5-8 for just 19 points, and the easy win. Mike Didio led Council
Rock with a 16:08.

October 19, 2001 - Suburban One American Conference (Freedom & Liberty Divisions) Championships @ Ursinus College - On the 2.95 mile Ursinus College course, Hatboro-Horsham's girls defeated Wissahickon for the second week in a row, this time on the basis of their sixth runner. Defending D1 champ Katie Ewart of Upper Dublin DNF due to breathing difficulties.
