Massachusetts Cross Country 2001

The Klim Poll #4 - 10/7

by Jake Klim

Division One - Division Two

After an apparent fall at the Grafton course, McArdle rebounded this week and crushed the field at the Bay State Invitational. According to the Globe, the brother of the Dartmouth star surged ahead of the competition at the top of bear cage hill and never looked back. Washburn is still my pick though, with Glew and Murphy somewhere in the mess of things near the front. Way is back from a fight with a nasty summer virus, Critzer is performing and with more competition he will run even faster, still a lot of sleepers out there who have yet to perform in a large invite

Pitts runs the fastest time of the day and might I add that running in the 15:40s means business. Watch out Wiechnicki and Burnham! Joe Soule also continues to make strides on the D2 list. Breaking 16 at FP is great accomplishment, yes it is semi-flat, but it is an honest, fair xc course. Are there only 3 members thus far in the fall who are in the prestigious sub-16 club? EB looks strong as usual; at this point it looks as if the D2 title is theirs…

Keep sending me duel/tri/quad meet results.
