Boyd Anderson HSLast race of the meet - state title on the line - top two teams going
head to head.
the Jeffersons and Atlantic Del Ray Beach HSThe graceful twins started their day in bright sunlight as they led Atlantic to a spectacular 7:37.76 victory in the 4x800 relay. They continued in twilight as John Jefferson won the 1600 meters, and finished under lights as Sean Jefferson won the 3200. This ends their Florida prep career, but they will try for post-season glory in June at the Golden West in Sacramento CA (Sean and John) and the adidas Outdoor Championships at Raleigh (Atlantic 4x800 and DMR relays). The Jeffersons will move north to Indiana University next year.

Dwight EllickDwight Ellick completed an unusual double double. He was New York state 100 meter champion last year (10.83) and second in the 200 (21.63), and then his family moved to Florida. Now he is Florida champion and he did it in both the 100 and 200 with better times: 10.60 and 21.35. The Wharton Tampa senior has signed to play football at Notre Dame.
