California All-State #4

League action brings some great marks;
DyeStat individual rankings as of November 6

Boys - Girls

Boys

Lots of course records for the big boys this week. Nelson, Leal, Hagenbuch crush course records in brilliant fashion.

1. Billy Nelson, Taft. Continues to dominate the state with a 15:04 5K at South Sequoia League Championship. Broke his own course record by over a minute.

2. Yong-Sung Leal, Arroyo San Lorenzo. Huge CR of 14:36 to win the Hayward Area Athletic League. Broke the old record set by legendary Richard Kimball!!

3. Henry Hagenbuch, Cate School. Stunning course record of 16:44 broke his own course record of 18:35. Huge win. Unreal.

4. Kevin Davis, Clovis West. Wins at TRAC league finals over talented Madera crew and Buchanan duo Kyle Alcorn and Casey Burchill.

5. Carl Dambrowski, Granada. Cruised 15:47 win at EBAL Championships.

6. Brett Gotcher, Aptos. Easy win at the SCCAL Finals in 14:35 for 2.93.

7. Mike Poe, Etiwanda. Continues to stay one step ahead of Horn. Won Mt. Baldy League Finals by 13 seconds over Horn

8. Jordan Horn, Alta Loma. Runner up to Poe, continues to run well.

9. Michael Hadden, Woodbridge. Cruised to an easy 14:40 win at the Sea View League Finals. Runner-up was 15:34.

10. Luke Llamas, Canyon. Continued to roll along with a 15:41 win at the Foothill League Finals. As usual his boys were right behind him as Canyon won in an easy fashion.

11. Jameson Mora, Canyon. Right behind Llamas at Foothill.

12. Tim Nelson, Liberty Christian.

13. Erick Maldonado, Don Lugo. Won easy on the Mt. SAC course in 15:45 at the Baseline League Finals.

14. Ryan Morgan, Canyon. Right behind Mora at Foothill. There cannot be a better top 3 in the nation than these guys.

15. Abadir Barre, Mt. Carmel.

1. Amber Trotter, Ukiah. Raced another brilliant time in the 16's this time a 16:30 that held off a determined effort from Jenny Aldridge who blasted herself a fine 17:06 for 2nd place. No one else broke 18 minutes in the race.

2. Liza Pasciuto, Murietta Valley

3. Jenna Timinsky, San Dieguito Academy.

4. Caitlin Chock, Granite Bay.

5. Julie Allen, Corona Del Mar.

6. Emily Vince, Peninsula. Sizzled an 18:36 at the Bay League Finals on a tough Penhi course that had never seen a girl under 19:00. Runner up was 19:58.

7. Jenny Aldridge, Maria Carillo. She came about as close as anyone has come to Trotter all season.

8. Shannon Rowbury, Sacred Heart Cathedral. Zipped to a 3 second win over teammate #13 ranked Gallagher at the CCS Girls Private School League.

9. Clara Horowitz, Hilton Head Royce. Dominated by almost 2 minutes in a slaughter of the BCL East League Championships. Her time would have been good enough for 3rd in the Boys Race!!

10. Ruth Graham, Gunn. Prevailed by 13 seconds at the SCVAL Championships over a strong threesome from Milpitas.

11. Nikki Peterson, Faith Lutheran.

12. Laura Muller, Woodland.

13. Heather Hansen, Madera. Stays on top of her area with 18:56 win in the T.R.A.C Championships.

14. Michelle Gallagher, Sacred Heart Cathedral. Continues to nip at the heels of teammate Rowbury with another strong finish behind her at CCS Girls Private School.

15. Brittany Grimes, Centennial Bake. Wins the Southwest Yosemite League Champs in 17:01 more than a minute ahead of her sister, who finished as runner-up.
