Boys - Girls - DyeStat Elite Performances (70)

PA athletes who stayed home this weekend put on quite a show as 153 boys and girls teams converged on Lehigh University in a meet that ran like clockwork. And performances were as exciting as anything in Idaho, with twelve new US Top 20 performances at the PA Track Classis.
Latir Foster, Reading, won both 60 meter dash and the Long Jump. The dash in a new US#2 6.94, and the Long Jump in a US#5 23-8. Ernie Terrell, Norristown, ran a new US # 3 48.38 400. And Terrance Day, Simon Gratz, goes to a new US #6 22.17 in 200.
Highlighting the girls were Juanita Broaddus, William Penn, who anchored 56.5 and led off with a hot 25.5 as William Penn took the 4x400 and 4x200 in 3:54.83 and 1:43.58. They were caught at the line, however, in a great 4 x 800, as Villa Maria freshman Christine Egan ran a 2:24.9. Villa Maria led off with freshman Tara Kelly (2:25.4), Lauren Graham (2:26.7), and Kim Malcolm 92:20.4). Their 9:37.38 was just .01 up on William Penn. Both times were just over a second off William Penn's US #6 9:36.17, and are the 2nd and 3rd fastest PA 4 x800's this season.
