Another recount in Florida! -- After celebrating their upset of Delray Atlantic for 3 days, joy turned to sorrow for Winter Park FL. The FHSA reversed the boys 4A result and declared Atlantic the winner, 111-115, when it was discovered by video reruns that Atlantic's 3rd runner finished 24th instead of 31st. What will the Florida Supreme Court say?
Original Result: Winter Park sr Mike Swope tops the Jefferson twins to lead his team to the 4A championship, 114-117, over Atlantic. Swope won in 14:54 3mi at Brevard Community College, with Atlantic's John and Sean Jefferson next at 15:03 and 15:09. Revised Result (after study of videos of the finish): Atlantic 111, Winter Park 115. Fastest girl is sr Christa Benton, Keswick Christian 17:26.
