From the meet director:

On Saturday, November 18th, at 11:00 am, the finest senior
women and men high school Cross Country runners will toe the
line in the Fourteenth Annual Mid East Cross Country
Championships. Six regional states, Ohio Pennsylvania,
Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia will pit their
top senior athletes against each other in a one of a kind
cross country event.

Ten athletes from each state going
head to head, the first five score, while the other five act
as displacers, increasing the other states scores. Like
golf, in Cross Country, "Low Score Wins"! Each athlete has
a chance to figure into the overall score of the race. This
event has hosted student athletes that have gone on to race
in the NCAA National meets and even the Olympic Games.
Ohio's own Bob Kennedy is one such individual.

All of this takes place at the Kettering Recreation Complex,
located in Kettering, Ohio at Indian Riffle Park. The women
will race at 11:00 am, the men will race at 11:30 am and
there is an open race at 12:00 noon, "the Mid East
Challenge", for anyone that would like to test themselves on
one of the finest 5000 meter cross country courses in the
region.
