Eastern Wayne edged Mount Tabor by 7 points to win the team title. Watauga's girls, ranked 19th in the XCTrack.com poll, placed 8th.

In the boys 3-A race, junior Lance Hall of Jamestown Ragsdale HS won in 16:04, leading his team to the team title over Asheville HS.

Asheville TC Roberson's girls won the 3-A title for the fourth year in a row, beating North Buncombe by 17. Junior Alicia Valtin (Western Harnett) repeated as champion with a 18:39.
