28th Manhattan Invitational

The Boys Story

Team - Individual

Team

Danbury CT, which dropped out of The Harrier Super 25, may move back in after running the fastest team time of the day.  Long after all the races were over, runners and coaches from Danbury, Cherokee NJ, Midlothian VA, Christian Brothers Academy NJ, and Bethlehem NY hung around the scorer's stand to see who would win the coveted watches for best 5-man average time.  (The Manhattan Invitational does not run a seeded boys race; the best teams are spread across the 7 varsity races.)   The results:

1. Danbury 13:19.3 (Varsity A winner with 20 points)
2. Cherokee 13:21.8 (Varsity B winner with 35 points)
3. Midlothian 13:21.9 (Varsity D runner-up, 48 pts)
4. CBA 13:23.5 (Varsity D winner, 43 pts) .
5. Bethlehem  13:25.2 (Varsity C winner, 46 pts)

Individual

Fastest boys of the day were Charles Millieon of St. Anthony's and Austin Smith of Midlothian VA.  Each ran 12:35 in winning the Varsity A and Varsity D races respectively.
