The race is scored on total time from runners 1-7. The flights are set up 7-6, 5-4, 3-2, and 1. Each runners time is tallied with the entire team. The fastest overall time wins.
On the Boy's side 4 of the top 5 teams in Arizona raced off. Horizon came away the victor. Horizon will do battle with the top teams in the nation next week at the Great American in North Carolina.
On the girl's side, Xavier, the powerhouse in the mid 90's reclaimed
itself as one of the top teams in Arizona. Mtn. Pte. headed by Sally
Meyerhoff, teammate of Sara Gorton won in dramatic fashion outkicking
Prescott's Jennifer Klein. Sally will face the top individuals at the
Great American next Saturday.
